Terms of Service

Moonrank is an AI search optimization platform that helps businesses become discoverable and recommended by AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, alongside traditional search. The Service may generate SEO content, schema markup, brand documents, backlink recommendations, technical audits, and publishing automations to your connected content management system (“CMS”) such as WordPress, Webflow, Framer, or Wix. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal authority to bind the business you register. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, magic-link tokens, and API keys confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@moonrank.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

New accounts may start with a 7-day free trial. At the end of the trial, your subscription will convert to a paid plan at the price displayed at sign-up (for example, $99/month), billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not prorate partial periods. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

“Your Content” means the business information, website URL, keywords, brand voice, and any material you upload or connect to the Service. You retain all rights in Your Content. You grant Moonrank a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, analyze, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including generating AI outputs on your behalf and publishing to your connected CMS.

You represent that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights, violate any law, or contain malware. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to grant us access to any CMS, analytics, or search console you connect.

The Service uses large language models and third-party AI providers to generate articles, drafts, recommendations, and responses (the “Output”). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you own the Output generated for your account and may publish and use it for any lawful purpose. You acknowledge that:

• Output is produced by probabilistic models and may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or hallucinated facts. You are responsible for reviewing Output before publishing.
• Similar Output may be generated for other users. We make no guarantee of uniqueness.
• AI search rankings, visibility, traffic, leads, revenue, and other performance results depend on many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any specific ranking, recommendation, or outcome.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate or publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts, or training data of the Service;
• Resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to third parties outside your own business without a written agency agreement;
• Use the Service to send spam, manipulate rankings through black-hat tactics prohibited by search engines, or circumvent rate limits;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity or security of the Service or any connected CMS, API, or third-party platform.

The Service connects with third-party providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, Stripe, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, and backlink and SEO data vendors. Your use of those services is governed by the applicable third-party terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and we may change providers at our discretion.

You authorize us (and Stripe, as our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method for all fees and applicable taxes. We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply to the next renewal term. Promo codes and discounts apply only to the terms they are issued for and cannot be combined unless we say otherwise.

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks (including “Moonrank” and “Archer”), and documentation, is owned by Moonrank and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes while your subscription is active. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Service you agree to our data practices as described there.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, if required by law, or if continuing your access creates material risk to the Service. You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4, 5, 9, 12, 13, and 14) will survive termination.

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT ANY SPECIFIC SEARCH RANKING, AI RECOMMENDATION, TRAFFIC, OR BUSINESS OUTCOME.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOONRANK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Moonrank and its affiliates from any third-party claim arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your publication of Output through connected CMS platforms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Moonrank is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
