The playbook Moonrank's SEO Agent uses to find clicks you have already paid for and aren't collecting — measured as a gap, not a hunch.
Download the methodology, see the atomic proof rewrite, or run it live inside the SEO Agent.
The CTR Gap Analysis skill is how Moonrank's SEO Agent finds results that don't require writing anything. It filters Search Console to positions 3–15, computes what each page's click-through rate should be at its position, and ranks the shortfall — because a page at position 6 earning 1.8% is leaking clicks it has already won.
Its signature lever is atomic proof densification: replacing vague opening copy with the pattern subject plus relation plus value. "Our team responds quickly" becomes "callout in 30 minutes, €89 daytime, 4.8/5 across 847 reviews". That serves the click and the AI citation at the same time, because it is the format an answer engine can quote.
It's written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Read it to run your own pass, hand it to a copywriter as a brief, or let the SEO Agent run it on your Search Console data.
“What can I improve this month without commissioning new articles?”
Five pages, all decisional, all leaking. The worst sits at position 6.2 with 12,400 impressions and a 1.8% CTR against an expected 3.5% — about 210 clicks a month unclaimed. Its title is "Locksmith Lyon — Fast Callout", which says nothing a competitor doesn't. Rewritten with the price and the delay, plus a Q&A block whose question is the exact query, plus the opening paragraph rewritten from adjectives into figures.
Ninety days of pages with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position.
Expected CTR at each page's position, minus what it actually earns.
Decisional first, then transactional — a page-8 informational page isn't a priority.
At least two per page, one being an atomic proof rewrite shown before and after.
What each position should earn, so the shortfall is measured rather than guessed.
The ten pages leaking the most clicks, sorted by impressions and gap.
Decisional, transactional or informational on every page in the table.
Concrete replacements with numbers and differentiators, not advice.
